Today is World Kindness Day, and the goal is to focus on the things we have in common with others in order to empathize with them.
Go outside your comfort zone and be kind to someone you don’t know. Here are some great ideas:
- Pay for the person behind you in line at lunch or in line at the drive thru.
- Give compliments to the next three people you see.
- Send someone a hand-written letter.
- Open the door for someone.
- Make a donation to a cause you support.
- Volunteer your time.
- Bring flowers to a nursing home.
What will you do?
Love the kind suggestions!
Kindness goes a long way. I work at a nursing home and it always brightens residents up when they get a kindly visit.
Someone cleaned the snow from my car today at the grocery store while I was putting my bags in the trunk! Kindness makes everyone happy!
When I get a genuine and sincere. thank you of appreciation from a parent, for the job myself and my staff do everyday. In a school of over 600 students it’s the small tokens of kindness that are the best!!
What a great feeling, Kristina! Keep up the good work—and thanks for sharing!
Kindness is free. Spread it around generously.
What has happened to the polls?
Hi Lia! Thanks for asking and glad you enjoy our poll questions. We don’t always include one, as you noticed, but try to as often as we can!
So much easier to be kind. Takes a lot of energy to be negative. Life is short – share the love
Debbie, we couldn’t agree more! Thanks for your comment!
