Have you been following the Ice2Ice journey of Norwex-sponsored cyclist Michael Strasser? Over the last 77 days, he’s been pedaling his way from North America to South America. Now in the home stretch, he’s very much on track to beat the current world record! And we couldn’t be more proud of him.
Like Norwex Co-founders Bjorn Nicolaisen, Debbie Bolton and Gerd Doroshuk, Michael truly embodies the spirit of Norwex. He knows there are no limits or boundaries to what can be achieved when you put your mind to something.
And just like Norwex Movement members worldwide, Michael also wants to see people embrace a more eco-friendly, sustainable lifestyle.
“I care a lot about the environment,” he says. “If every man and woman on earth contributes something to an ecologically friendly life, a lot would change for the better. Norwex has the right approach to that.”
During his Ice2Ice journey, Michael has also been raising awareness for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), or “Lou Gehrig’s disease,” a disease of the nerves and muscles that impacts thousands every year.
So it’s no surprise that, now through October 16, Michael’s native Austria is hosting an online “Sportsman with Heart” contest to honor Michael and 10 other athletes who are making a difference in their communities via the causes they support with their sportsmanship. And we encourage you to support Michael too!
