Pammila Ruth : Just a Few Seconds
While sitting at the dinner table during a family gathering, my 15 year old nephew started in on how our generation was ruining the planet. The throw-away generation. The landfills were spilling over because of our lazy ways. I immediately stepped away from the table and beckoned him to follow me. Out on the enclosed porch were recycling bins. Mixed paper, newspaper, glass, tin, cardboard, rigid plastic, soft plastic… even styrofoam which our local recycling depot takes for a minimal fee. His eyes opened wide and I found the always so sure of himself teen, no longer so sure. “Okay… maybe not you guys!” was his final quip. He had a point though. While recycling in our area is gaining respect, there are still so many people that just don’t THINK about what they throw away. I have a (recently converted) friend who used to watch me sort through the recycling… “You can recycle THAT?” She had no clue. Having lived on a boat, at the base of the Fraser River for 4 years back in the 80’s, my husband and I started recycling before it was trendy. When you can see pollution and trash floating past your house, you take notice. It seriously only takes a few seconds to wash your food containers, a few seconds to separate the plastic from the cardboard of that kids store-bought toy, and a few seconds to take your coffee insert and separate the metallic lid, filter and rigid plastic cup (or better yet, buy a re-usable filter like I have!) It only takes 15 minutes to get the bins from the porch to the car to the depot. Having them already separated at home makes it so simple, so quick and saves so much of the landfill! Amazing what a difference a few seconds out of ones life can make! Even our generation can do it!

Ilyssa Roberts : Jackson

Meet my sweet, playful chihuahua, Jackson! When I picked Jackson up, he was happily playing with his puppy pad and promptly peed right on a squeaky toy. I laughed. I thought, “He’ll pick up the potty training thing quickly.” But boy was I wrong! After about two weeks of potty training, things weren’t going well. He would have accidents in the house, usually in the same spot. I tried multiple (very expensive) store bought cleaners with no avail. I rented a carpet cleaner from the grocery store. I paid to have the carpets professionally cleaned! Nothing worked. In a last ditch effort, I decided to try a product my friend had been telling me about, Norwex Odour Eliminator. She swore it would work at removing the pet smell. I was skeptical, but desperate. I ordered it and crossed my fingers. The Odour Eliminator removed any and all evidence of a dog. I crawled around on my hands and knees sniffing the carpet (while Jackson looked on, confused) and wondering what exactly was in this miracle liquid! The carpets smelled so fresh and clean! Not only are Norwex products ultra effective, I was happy to find out they are natural. A great choice for my family and yours!

Jeni Schulz : Skin Changes

I started Norwex in Jan 2012. All of the products have completely blown my mind, but I like most to share how my sons skin has changed since beginning with Norwex. My son has XLHED (www.nfed.org) and deals with terrible exzema and dermatitis. We lathered in in very toxic lotions, steroid creams and even gave him bleach baths. We switched to Norwex detergent, body cloths and dryer balls. His skin has been amazing ever since. What I can do with all this knowledge is help educate everyone about the dangerous toxins we’re exposing our loved ones too. Norwex is my vehicle to help others change their lives.
