The company I work for has adopted a park near the office and once a month a group of us goes to the pack and cleans up the garbage. Last time we were there, a couple of kids who were at the park helped us pick up the trash (good thing we had extra gloves). We talked to them about the importance of not throwing our garbage on the ground and taking care of our world instead. Hopefully we have some new “green team” members.
what a great way to get your community kids educated about cleaning up !
It’s always good to get kids involved with volunteering early so it will become natural to them as they become adults.
tree planting on EARTH Day!
I don’t volunteer as much with the kids being so young, but we are planning to volunteer much more this coming year!!
