Dilemma: A guest accidently spills red wine on your tablecloth. Can it be saved or is it destined to be turned into rags?
“Act fast and chances are you can get the spot out,” says Nancy Bock, a senior vice president at the American Cleaning Institute. Dab with a no-fuzz cloth and cool water (put a trivet under the cloth first to protect the table). After guests leave, hold the stained area beneath a steady stream of cool water for a few minutes, then blot dry. Treat with a prewash stain remover, then wash as recommended on the fabric care label. Reapply stain remover and wash if necessary.

My daughter had a white t shirt with under arm stains. I sprayed it with UPP mixed with water, let it sit for a bit, then laundered it (again using UPP) and the stains were gone. I was totally blown away
Got car grease out of my norwex car cloth. Made a paste with ultra power plus detergent and the stain remover, let sit for a minute then scrubbed with a nylon grout brush and came right out!
I spilled red wine on my white wool area rug. Sprayed water with UPP in it and covered the stains with damp Envirocloth and the stain was gone in minutes!

UPP does a great job of removing stains. My sister had workmen leave ground-in black marks on her bedroom carpet, from the bottoms of their boots. She used UPP to make a paste, let it sit overnight and dabbed up the detergent and water the next day. It took two tries to remove the marks, but she got them out. And, that was after she had already tried a commercial stain remover.

I have been able to use Norwex’s cleaning paste to get all kinds of waxy stains out of carpet. My daughter accientally got blue crayon all over a tan carpet, and the cleaning paste + envirocloth took it right out! For liquid stains, blotting right away with an absorbent cloth is the best way I’ve found to keep the stain from really setting in!
I was once told to use the “mechanic’s hand cleaners” for stains in clothing, b/c it breaks the hydrogen bonds of the transmission grease (from the washer that busted with my laundry inside!). I apply with an old toothbrush as soon as I know there is a stain and wash in warm water. I have used “enzyme” cleaners for pet stains for years… those break down the odors that the animals can smell, which reduces their tendency to soil the same spot again. Of course, I now use belly bands for male foster dogs, and UPP (and Liquid Laundry Detergent!) for many stains now that I know better 😉 As for fabrics or clothing that seems “destroyed” by a stain that won’t come out – I have been know to tie dye, tea dye, or “embellish” the stain (with a patch, button, etc.).
After cleaning the oven of a house we are renting my enviro looked destroyed. I deep cleaned it with UPP 3 times. You can barely tell the cloth isn’t brand new now!!
I apply stain remover to both sides of the fabric.
Our cat peed on my daughter’s white shirt. And of course it was buried under a very messy room so I didn’t see it right away! Rubbed in some of the Norwex stain remover and Bam! Shirt was like new!
I have heard that Norwex is great to alleviate itch-free laundry. I would like to purchase the product but can’t seem to do it on this website (Norwex.com). I noticed there’s a contact in Flagstaff, AZ known as “Beall’s Green Zone”, but there’s no email or phone to contact them. If possible, I would like to stop in and purchase some Norwex to try. I am not interested in selling the product, but rather want to try it to see if it will abate the itchy quality of my present laundry detergent. Pour table salt onto the carpet, tablecloth, material or whatever asap. As dark as Merlot wine will go into the salt COMPLETELY. No stain will be left. This has happened to my beige wool rug during the holidays a few times, and worked every time. You may have to use half a container of salt, but to save a wool rug, so worth it!

I stink at getting stains out of fabric.. I am REALLY interested in trying the Norwex stain remover!
so, the story goes: My nephews were rough housing, one acquired a bloody nose (so bad… lots of blood)… all over my mom’s brand new white carpet! EnviroCloth to the rescue!! it was able to completely clean up all the blood! My mom wasn’t home at the time (thank goodness). She has been watching and waiting for a spot to appear. But one never has and never will!

Immediately place a dry cloth underneath the stained fabric and use a wet cloth to blot the stain so that it is absorbed into the bottom cloth. I read about this and was able to save a couple of blouses by removing coffee-with-cream stains this way.
Using cleaning paste and water gets out every stain I’ve had to use it on.
