Are You Washing Your Clothes in Chemicals?

How Safe Is Your Laundry Room?

Did you know that dryer sheets, fabric softeners and typical clothing sprays can be loaded with chemicals that are potentially harmful to you and your family? It’s true! And because these chemicals come into contact with your bedding, towels and clothing—which then covers your skin for hours at a time—the risks can be high.

comment_2Check out one of our popular blogs from 2016, “Are You Washing Your Clothes in Chemicals,” to find out why products like these, containing fragrances, phthalates, synthetic dyes and parabens, may not be worth the risk.

I started using All Natural Alpaca Wool Dryer Balls a couple years ago and love them! I just started using a natural powder detergent on both my and my sons clothes. It feels so good to make these changes.

I have been using Norwex UPP for 2 1/2 years and wouldn’t use anything else. It is great!

Maureen, maybe you could dissolve the correct amount in water and poor it in.

Maureen, maybe you could dissolve the correct amount of UPP in water and then pour it in the machine.

Maureen,
My washer is a HE washer and says only liquid detergent but you use such a small amount of the Norwex detergent it is working really well in my washer. My husband and I have talked about it a couple of times how the washer does not smell like rotten eggs anymore and I have not been having to run the cleaning cycle anymore either to try and get the smell gone. Hope this helps.

You can dissolve UPP in water then add as a liquid.

You can easily make up a bottle of your own liquid Ultra Power Plus. Put the amount (1/2 tsp-1Tbl, depending on hardness of water and if HE) of Norwex you would use per load with a cup of water. Multiply that by the amount you can fit in the bottle. Shake well to dissolve. Now you can put a cup of this in the dispenser for each load
Hope that helps.

I was skeptical of the Norwex UPP so I tested it on my husband’s super stinky work-out clothes. When I pulled them out of the dryer I buried my nose in the armpits of his shirts searching for a hint of stink. I couldn’t find any!! Super impressed and SOLD on Norwex UPP! I couldn’t even get his clothes that odor free with my commercial brand of detergent unless I added baking soda!

I started using Norwex UPP laundry detergent and fluff and tumble (wool) dryer balls 5 months ago. My clothes dry faster now, I love that they no longer have a perfumy scent, and I hadn’t even realized it was my regular detergent that was making me itch!

I started using the Norwex Dryer balls and UPP! Love everything. I have eliminated dryer sheets, fabric softener, and big bulky laundry detergent.

I use a clothesline when weather permits and a drying rack when it doesn’t. I gave my daughter a bag of Norwex laundry powder when her son started getting exzema. No more exzema and nice clean boy clothes!

Am new to Norwex and was wondering if I should wash my new products before I use them? I always wash everything, that’s washable, before using what are your thoughts?
